Wherefore
Historically our flagship Napa Valley Zinfandel was exclusively estate-based. Commencing with the 2018 vintage we expanded its horizons by introducing fruit from other Napa Valley vineyards in order to explore the region’s Zinfandel expressions beyond the confines of Brown Estate, and with benefit of David’s 20+ years working with this singular varietal. For this milestone vintage precious little fruit was available, hence its abbreviated composition and diminished production. Like the proverbial phoenix though, still we rise. Cheers to 25 years of Brown Zin! (This vintage available direct from winery only.)
